I hear that starting to use moisturizer on your face while u r young, helps keep u looking younger later..?

So does it matter what moisturizer I use? I'm only 21, but I figure taking good care of my skin now will also pay off later. I use Clean n' Clear Dual action moisturizer now, because I struggle a bit with zits around "that time of the month", and also experience a bit of dry skin. Is that a good moisturizer for me, or is there something better out there that wouldnt clog my pores, and would help keep my skin looking great and young?

Moisturising is a great start, but you should make sure you use one with sunscreen built in with an SPF of at least 15. This will definitely help in the long run, it will help stop wrinkles and that 'leathery' look that many older women get. The sun is really damaging to your skin so protect it always!
Reply:you're doing fine. You won't need anything stronger until you're in your early thirties. That's when you start needing more oils. Also, always drink plenty of water. It helps! (I know)
Reply:I know a 95 year old woman who's skin looks great, and she always says that its because she rubbed moisturizer on her face when she was young, so that's a good idea. Go for a non-comodegenic moisturizer (I'm guessing the one you have is non-comodegenic); it will say if it is on the label if it is.
Reply:CAn you believe my granny used vaseline? SHE looked young too.
Reply:Wash your face morning and night and use a moisturizer morning and night. Remove all make up with cold cream.
Reply:I'm 23 and people say i look 16-17. I've never used moisturiser in my life. I only use cleansers.I used to experience dryness but i started drinking more water and that helped heaps. Also having a good diet helps too. If that doesn't help there are natural remedies like natural yogurt on the skin for a few mins.

i recommend alternative remedies cuz a lot of the mainstream products out there now can be more damaging than good.

Do a google search on natural or home made moisturisers. At least you know whats in them.
Reply:That sounds like a perfect moisturiser for you, I've started my daughter on using one and she's only 8. she forgets most days but I think it's a good habit to get into, especially one with a sunscreen included
