Am I too young to have wrinkles?

I am 26 years old, am an avid user of sunscreen, have a fair complexion (although I can tan without burning), and do not wear makeup. I eat well (no junk or fast food, no sodas) and drink water as much as possible. I find myself baffled by creases that have appeared on my forehead. I have

two horizontal lines coming in from either side of my upper forehead, about 2-3 inches long on either side. They don't appear as wrinkles or creases, but rather as indentations, as though my head had been resting on something. I

do not often wear hats, although I do climb and wear helmets at those times. I feel I take good care of myself and my skin, and am too young to reallythink that they are wrinkles. I am just wondering what these lines might be, and what might help me in reducing their appearance.

Am I too young to have wrinkles?
i think you could moisturize your skin more. i was born with eczema so i have had my share of learning about skin care. Vaseline intensive care lotion is a pretty good skin care product. it's been effective and it is inexpensive. i've also heard that sprouts are good for rejuvenating cell matter. you could work them into your diet.

i have located a skin care sight for you to peruse. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skin_care . i really hope your concern is remedied.

take care.
Reply:Stop frowning maybe!

No really, it sounds like you have done all the right things, so it's probably just a genetic thing. I am 23 and starting to get crows feet around my eyes, my bf (23) has the same sort of thing as you on his forehead. I personally do not get hung up about it - I actually think it does give us character. Something I noticed is that I squint a lot in the sun so that may have contributed to mine... My bf frowns thoughtfully when he is concentrating very hard - which has probably added to his. So maybe try to be concious of making your expression neutral... But it really probably is genetic aswell!
Reply:If your lines are permanently present, then observe whether they get worse with movement. If they do then its an expression line caused by muscle contractions. To treat this they can be reduced in appearance with a glycolic acid product. If they don't get worse with movement then they are static lines caused by a lack of collagen and elastin. To treat this use antioxidants, vitamin A and peptides to get the bounce back.
Reply:Hydration is the key, I use a water based product that has been tested at 100% hydration and my face shows it. Greak on wrinkles too. I use the eye cream on my upper lip area and works. NO PARABENS OR PRESERVATIVES. It is the only skin care that the Japan Government has certified as 100% natural. Most products are giving us breast cancer with the preservatives and parabens. Check out your leading brands. They use harmful chemicals to make us look good. We are all going ot be pretty in a casket. Methyl Parabens, and every other kind of paraben. Go to the breast cancer site and research parabens and you will toss you products. I buy it from a gal named Allison. She gave me the site called www.revolutionaryskincare.info. her email is allidari@yahoo.ca.
Reply:Sounds like you take pretty good care of yourself. How about moisturizer? Be sure you use it - both men and women need it - skin is skin! Do you squint your eyes a lot (maybe from being in the sun, or from reading)? It could be that you need either glasses or different sunglasses to shade a larger portion of your eyes from sun and to protect from wind. Start really paying attention to when you squint, and what is causing you to do so.

How do i Exfoliate my skin on my face?

i have tried alot of things but i dont noe if im doing it right how do i noe and is there any natural way to lighten my skin i was light young and after 5 years of getting alot of sun i have turn dark ive been avoiding the sun and putting lemon juice on my face but thats about it. its not really helping

How do i Exfoliate my skin on my face?
exfoliating the skin is when u cleanse it with a soft grain in the mix to relieve the skin of dead cells and show the fresh renewed skin underneath. it also cleans out the pores in the skin. There are many exfoliants on the market, you need to be careful not to use one that is too harsh. this maty damage the skin. you need only to apply it to the t zone of your face. this is the forehead, nose and cheeks. avoid the eye area. The lemon juice doesnt exfoliate because it doesnt have any grandules in it. this will make a good cleanser however be careful you dont over use this as itmay make your skin very dry. when you do exfoliate do not do it each day, you only need to do it every 2 days or so, and make sure you moisturise after or you will have very dry skin.
Reply:lemon juice lightens hair, not face. if you want to exfoliate, get a good scrub from the store (st. ives apricot scrub works well) or just rub some water and corn meal together. rub it all over your face and rinse REALLY well with warm water, then with cold water. the cold water snaps your pores shut so that nothing gets back inside.

i'm not sure about lightening your skin, though. i'm not sure why you would want to...
Reply:Try using sugar as a scrub. If you want to lighten your face color, there's a whole market of skin lighteners out there. I don't know anything that you can get out of your kitchen or anything.
Reply:there are many exfoliating products out there,

and some moisturisers have whitening extract in them.

what I can suggest u is to apply sunscreen wich contain high spf before going out
Reply:go to the beach and scrub your face silly with sand. i heard brazilians do this.

1)Cleansing is the first essential step in your daily skin care routine. If your skin is oily a more frequent cleansing i.e. 4-5 times a day is necessary.

2)Masks

Basically all face masks have some sort of a cleansing action. Various ingredients are used in the masks, depending on the skin type. Clay, form an important constituent of many face masks. They help to remove dirt, sebum, and dead skin so that the skin looks clean, soft and youthful.

3)Freshening

Having cleansed, wipe away any last traces of dirt or oil with a skin freshener or toner (cleansing milk) which suits your skin type. Those with alcohol (astringent) are for oily skin.

4)Protecting

The sun, is the environmental factor that is most harmful to the health and appearance of the skin. so,procecting from sun is imp.

For Glowing skin

-A facemask of egg white and honey gently removes the tan from your face.

-Mix oats with honey, yogurt and ground almonds. Apply this in your face, leave it for five minutes and wash with lukewarm water.

-Take 1/3-cup cocoa, three teaspoons of heavy cream, 1/3-cup ripe papaya, 1/4-cup honey and three teaspoons of oatmeal powder. Mix it all together. Apply on your face. After 10 minutes, wash your face with warm water. This is best for oily skin

-For oily skin, apply a mixture of grapes, lemon and egg white. Leave it for 20 minutes and rinse with warm water. While lemon acts as a natural cleanser, grapes will soften your skin and egg whites will tighten it. Don’t be alarmed if your skin tingles.

-Apply the mixture of honey and milk on the face . This will make your skin glow.

-Prepare a mask by mixing a slice of pumpkin with egg yolk and milk. Let this mask set on your face for 30 minutes for a glowing skin.

-Make a paste of red sandal wood and apply it on the face every day for glowing skin.

hope it helps....
Reply:Make sure you use products suited for your skin type. Try using a face mask and scrub once a week. The cleaner your skin the younger it will look. Origins Checks and Balances range is supposed to be really good.
Reply:Go to a dermatoligst and get Retin-A the first couple days are harsh. Then all of a sudden you have nice skin after :-) Mine has less wrinkles now and a nice glow to it.

Skin scratches?

i hve got random scratches on my skin since i was young. they will dissapear in a day. and they come in random spots of 3 on my stomach, arms, back and now face... i do not own a cat or dog and i have not scratched myself because i bite my nails and the scratches are not raised....

Skin scratches?
Sounds like a physical urticaria, though it might be a cholinergic urticaria...or cold urticaria.

If it is, it is nothing harmful and there is nothing to worry about.

If it is bothersome to you, talk to a doctor...especially a dermatologist about treatment.

Or, you could just try taking over-the-counter Benadryl regularly to see if it goes away. This is first line treatment for this.

There is some helpful information here:

Hope this helps some!

Does dry skin cause you to wrinkle easier?

I am a 29 yr old female and have very dry skin. If I don't put lotion on it (arms, legs, feet, etc) will my skin wrinkle at a young age? It seems I can see a few creases when it's dry but when I put lotion they go away.

Does dry skin cause you to wrinkle easier?
doesnt wrinkle you just see your lines. lotion covers it up
Reply:Yes, because when the skin dries out and there is no more moiture it causes wrinkles. Wrinkles can be undone if you moisturize the wrinkles so much they will fade away and your age doesnt even matter. If you need any other answers to your questions just e-mail me at dramaqueen585@yahoo.com
Reply:yep. use lotiton
Reply:Absolutely. Along with using lotion/moisturizer, use a mild soap (I prefer body wash -- less drying to me), don't take hot showers, and drink plenty of water - you're moisturizing from the inside too! I'm 43 years old, and my legs still have that glow because I follow these basic steps (minus the lotion most of the time, though, as I don't typically have dry skin).

Causes of skin cancer in adolescents?

this is for a project , we need to know what are thee causes of skin cancer in children , young teenagers , and young adults

Causes of skin cancer in adolescents?
Three causes of melanoma, huh? I would venture to say: 1.) Sunburn 2.) A congenital melanocytic nevus (mole) 3.) Repeated chemical or mechanical trauma to the skin. Your best bet is to run a search for "melanoma".

Bad skin..dry and cracky..!!?

Does anyone know a way to hydrate skin?

I am pretty young, but I have alligator skin! It's kind of cracky. I am trying to find a lotion or a remedy that can rid me of it. I never lotioned when I was younger..I never took care of my skin so now it is all cracky and I've been searching for lotions that will heal my skin...to no avail!!

Has anyone experienced this and what did you use or do to give urself basically a fresh batch of skin..

Thanks

Bad skin..dry and cracky..!!?
Try Emu Oil or Murad's body lotion. Emu is at all of the health food stores. Murad is expensive but wow, it works beautifully. The cheapest route to go is to slather on pure olive oil, let that soak in and then layer on some lotion like Vaseline Intensive Care (no scent, just regular). All of those things work, I've used them for quite a while now.
Reply:I have that type of skin too! Especially my legs it's all scaly and stuff. I use Lubridem and Vaseline really good but I see you have already tried that. So try talking to a dermatologist or your doctor to see if he/she has any ideas.
Reply:I like to use Nivea lotion, and put petroleum jelly on at night. It feels yucky and uncomfortable because youre pants stick to your legs, but it looks good in the morning.
Reply:baby oil right after you shower on your body fixed the problem for me it feels very oily at the beginning but it works good luck ;-)
Reply:Dry skin types have to be extremely careful to protect their skin.Yogurt-honey combination helps dry skin. Make an egg pack with a yolk, a teaspoon of honey, a tablespoon of milk powder. This is beneficial to dry skin types. There are many helpful tips to cure dry skin at http://useinfo-dryskin.blogspot.com/

Reply:is the dry skin all over? it could be that something else you are using - soap, laundry detergent, fabric softener, etc. might be irritating your skin and causing it to be dry.

a lot of people don't realize this, but one of the first, most minor symptoms of an allergy is often dryness.

all of the things you listed as having tried, they all have either a long list of ingredients (the more you expose yourself to, the better your odds of being sensitive to something), or preservatives (any lotion that contains both water and oils will have preservatives, which can be an irritant to some) or petroleum products (Vaseline) which are a known skin irritant.

as a skincare professional, i'd advise you to do a process of elimination first to see if you can figure out if anything is causing a sensitivity. switch to unscented laundry detergent, stop using fabric softener for a bit (really....static cling is **Not*** as big a deal as the commercials make you believe), and get a natural shampoo and conditioner from the health food store - preferably unscented. switch to a natural soap, preferably unscented. you can get these at the health food store, too. for a moisturizer, use plain almond, sesame or olive oil (or cocoa butter, as long as you look at the ingredients and see that it is NOTHING BUT cocoa butter) applied to damp skin to seal in moisture.

as your skin improves, slowly start adding things back one at a time - laundry soap, then fabric softener, then regular shampoo, then regular conditioner, etc....and watch to see if the dryness returns. if it does, you'll know the culprit.

best of luck to you.
Reply:i had suuuuper dry skin before. my mom had bought some coconut oil, and it made my skin baby soft. even cleared up my acne.
Reply:First of all, you should handle your skin very gently. Start out by gently scrubbing away the dry skin at east three times per week with a skin scrub. Clinique has a great body scrub. If you'd rather but an inexpensive scrub, try St. Ives Apricot scrub. It works just as well. You'll find that moisturizes work each time you shower, massage some oil on your skin while it is still wet. Baby oil or Alpha Keri oil will do the job. Blot your skin to get rid of the excess oil. Always moisturize your skin before going to bed. An excellent lotion is Nivea skin oil, which actually looks like a lotion (comes in a white bottle.) Nivea lotion (in the blue bottle) is also good but it's not as rich as Nivea oil. Shea butter is also good if you can find one that is as pure as possible.

Don't forget to clean your face well even if you skin is dry. If you don't, you could end up breaking out. Wash with white Dove bar, Neutrogena, or a glycerine soap. Use only mild soaps on your body but it's best to avoid using it on your face unless you wear a lot of make-up. Use a cleansing cream followed by a mild astringent such as Witch Hazel.

Remember that regardless of what you use on your skin, you must begin treatment from the inside. Eat adequate amounts of fresh fruits and vegetables daily, drink lots of water and take multi-vitamins, including Vitamin A, D, E. Good old fashioned Cod liver oil tastes awful but will make your skin look moist and beautiful.
Reply:try coco-butter cream in the yellow container, not the lotion.
Reply:Hmm... Well skin shouldnt be so dry like this... I have heard drinking more water and eating more eggs and fish is good for skin.

For me, what worked was a Garnier product. It's in a red bottle and it's got "maple sap" in it. Something like that. It absorbs very fast... You can test it at the shops (when no ones looking) to see if it works.

As an obese child is it harder for me to get a six pack, without surgery removing skin/fat cells?

because i was obese at an early age i have more fat cells on my body, not just biger ones. i used to be 5'10" weigh 240 with a 44in waist and something like 35-40% body fat, this was one of the times i was at my healthiest, freshmen year.

now, i weigh about 170, 34in waist, and have about 15% (i don't know the electric shock tester sucks) body fat. i hate counting calories and think that just eating, whole foods, slower and drinking alot of water should be efficient. i workout alot, right now i'm injured, but am in the remodeling phase and will be back in action soon. is it harder for me to get a lower body fat % because i was obese so young? does my excess skin affect having a sixpack (my mom has one and she's had 3 kids. so, i don't think it does, it just looks bad)?

let me know, and please list you sources, whether it's your experience as a fatty, your profession, or if it's an article i would like to be able to find it.

thank you.

As an obese child is it harder for me to get a six pack, without surgery removing skin/fat cells?
Well, its gonna be harder for you than say someone guy who is naturally thinner or toned.

But you just have to cut out junk, eat right, and work-out.

My brother, was rather chubby when he was younger and now has an 8-pack. So just eat right and exersice,
Reply:This a very medical question, I can't answer it directly, probably only a doctor could. But I will dispense some helpful advice anyway.

Concerned about your skin you should eat avocados. They are high in vitamin E and reduce things like stretch marks from the inside which is where they begin.

Reducing body fat is achieved by increasing muscle. But 15% isn't bad anyway, even professional body builders have about 10%!

What is the best way to take care of your skin, face and body and also hair?

I am trying to develop a routine with my face, hair and body....I know about washing and conditioning but what is a good regimen to start while i am young to keep healthy skin? I don't smoke or drink so I know that helps - and sunscreen - but what type of plan should i start to follow?

What is the best way to take care of your skin, face and body and also hair?
First let me commend you on not smoking or drinking which can severely dehydrate your skin and cause other health issues. I would suggest this, make sure you are taking in an adequate amount of water each day you'd be surprised how much substituting water for juices and soda does for your overall health and especially your skin. Next research which foods can help in maintaining skin, face and body health. For example did you know that if you have a certain type of acne zinc is great in fighting it? I won't tell you to take zinc I'll leave that up to your doctor, he/she would know the dosage to recommend or weather that would be suffucient for the type of skin issue's you might be sufferring from ..but I will say this spinach and romaine lettuce have high dosages of zinc and a salad a day keeps your skin looking great, be careful though many salad dressing are high in calories. Omega's are great for skin you can find that in flaxseed oil. Vitamin's A.C.E. are perfect for keeping your skin looking great find out which foods are high in these and start eating it in moderation. In reference to your hair biotin is a great mineral in which to help keep it strong it also helps in the health of your finger nails, yet again get your doctor's advice on such health issue's. Keep hydrated throughout the day and I commend you on using sunscreen don't forget to use it on all your body parts that will be expose to the sun . If I can be of any more help please let me know =)
Reply:just always moisturize make that something you always do and you will benefit
Reply:You should just use quality products and not stay out in the sun too long. Thats all I can say!
Reply:Okay, for the hair, use the best shampoos and conditioners money can buy! But I'll le in on a hint, Humectress Moisturizing Conditione and Botanical Shampoo is one of the best product out there and it really works! It makes your hair silky and smooth and later, 3 months to be exact, your hair will become fuller!

For the face, I use this stuff my dermatologist recommand me was this cleansing cloths called "Plexion" and it is admazing! I had ance and it cleared it up after 4 days!

For the entire body, use Aveeno Moisturizing lotion. The best skin protectant out there!

Hope everything helps! I guarantee it would!
Reply:First of all, its a good idea to start young. I listen to my mom grip all the time about her tiny little lines around her eyes and BLAH BLAH BLAH!!....Sunscreen really is the best thing for your skin, I would recommend using an already good product with SPF in it. Lots and lots of foundations already have that in them. I'm 19, and I use wrinkle creme at night. I mean, what will it hurt, ya know? Ask your hair dresser for a good shampoo or just go to Sally's and ask them, they will give you the same advice, but may find you something cheaper. Try to avoid blow dying, straighting, perms, dying, etc. Sun is bad for hair and skin. Moisturize your whole body every single day of your life, head to toe. It doesn't matter the brand so much as how it makes your skin look and feel, everyone is different, though I find Eucerin products to work the absolute best. Oh yeah, the first thing to go is the neck!! Moisturize and wash like you would your face! (Seriously women's neck tell their age..and elbows...and hands!!) A balanced diet never hurt anyone either. You'll fall off the wagon a few times, but everyone does..just take care of yourself and you will look fine when your old.
Reply:You have a good start to having healthy skin! Starting a skin care regimen is important to keeping it healthy. Find a quality product that not only maintains your skin, but helps to repair any damage along the way, and of course use something to protect your newly forming skin...like a broad spectrum sunscreen with a minimum spf of 20 (UVA/UVB).

BeautiControl has great products that grow with you as your skin ages. You start with Skinlogics for 20 and under....then as your skin gets older you move into the Gold, and then when you are 40+ you move into the Platinum. Now that's skin age...not your age. If you start now you may not move into Gold until you are 40. And you can use any of those stages...regardless if you have dry, oil, or combination skin.

Included in a good regimen is:

Cleanser

Toner/Tonic

Scrub

Moisturizer

Repair (exfoliator - alpha hydroxy acids, microderm abrasion, etc.)

Protection (sunscreen, vitamin c, etc)

and All Clear Blemish Block spot treatment for those occasional blemishes.

As for hair...ask your hairstylist. I have used the BeautiControl hair products and my thin hair started to get thicker and fuller. My hairstylist noticed it before I did. ; ) It was pretty cool!

As for a body lotion...Regeneration Extreme Repair Face and Body creme would be a good one. It repairs dry, damaged skin anywhere on the body, especially the face, elbows, knees, legs and heels. Strengthens, thickens and softens skin and increases the skin ability to retain moisture.

Hope that helps!

Reply:Hello, What is the best way to take care of your skin:

The most important part of taking care of yourself (body and mind) is to exercise on a regular basis. It does not matter what you do (walk, run, aerobics, yoga, etc.) just do it. Find something you enjoy and stick to it. The next most important routine that I wish I had acquired while I was younger, is to take care of your skin, especially on your face. Sunbathing and tanning beds are out and protection from UV rays is in.

Taking care of your face requires a daily routine, twice per day. You should use a high end product that provides you with the 5 essential skin care elements: cleanse, exfoliate, refresh, moisturize and protect. A great product that I use is Time-Wise 3-in-1 cleanser (cleanses, exfoliates and refreshens in one application) followed by moisturizer and a light foundation (protects and maintains natural hydration). All these products are from Mary Kay and they are great!

I will be happy to send you a free sample. Let me know by sending me an email: kimmy1@verizon.net

Reply:A professional skin care regime is one of the most important parts of maintaining your skin's health. Your skin is not a smooth surface like a sheet of glass. On the contrary, your skin is more like a riverbed, full of little lumps, bumps, crevasses and holes. You can give these dermatological names such as fine lines, pores, sebaceous glands, etc., but at the end of the day the fact remains your skin is far from a flat, smooth surface.

I follow a daily skin care regime which i so important for anyone.A daily skin care regime has the following main five steps.

1. Cleansing your skin

2. Toning your skin

3. Moisturising your skin

4. Exfoliation

5. sunblock with spf 15

But what is important is what products you are using You should always choose natural skin care products as many commercially mass-produced skin care products utilise potentially toxic chemicals and highly modified 'natural' ingredients. So i use "Artistry line of products" ,which are very natural and really good products which are made from natural and organic ingredients "Nutralite". what i suggest you is to use a "ARTISTRY DAILY SKIN CARE SYSTEM", which is the best and really good.Depending on your skin type you can use these products whether you have a oily, dry ,combinational skin. This complete system is recommended to be used twice daily.

Exfoliation is also very very important step that one needs in a daily skin care regime.Exfoliate twice in a week .Use " Artistry polishing scrub" , it is really good.

Finally use a sunblock with spf 15" ,which is already in the moisturiser.

For hair use a good shampoo and a conditioner ,Use " Satinique Daily Balance 2 in 1 Hair Cleanser" ,Cleanse and condition hair in one convenient step.

Im just curious what african americans are using for skin care?

im an african american young man with dry skin. im woondering what others are using for there skin to clean and keep it soft and clear.

Im just curious what african americans are using for skin care?
My friend is a staunch advocate of Lush products, I was skeptical so I took home a sample of their sea salt scrub and am now hooked. The best part is, they employ pseudo-experts on skin care. So while my friend's skin is completely different from mine, we both walked out with a facial regime that is perfect for us.

Check out a local Lush counter and explain to them exactly your skin type. They will be able to give you natural products to tackle any problems you have with any area of your body. Not just your face!
Reply:You can try neutrogena that really works well to keep skin soft and clear. Also moisturize daily and drink lots of water. That should really help. Hope it works for you! :]
Reply:I use a moisturizing bar facial soap to cleanse. Afterward I use a light moisturizer with a SPF of at least 15. At night I'll use one of those facial cleanser sheets. Sometimes a night moisturizer, usually in the winter months.

For me brand does not matter. I tend to mix things up since I know my skin can get used to a product and it will no longer be as functional.
Reply:i use pure shea butter...im from west africa and i have family and friends who always send it to me.

here are the benefits:

Shea butter contains a profusion of proteins, vitamins, minerals and a unique fatty acid. It has been researched and found to be rich in Vitamins A,B,C,D,E,F and K.It is also rich in Calcium, Iron and protein.

Shea butter is a superb moisturizer that is commonly used to rejuvenate skin pores and restore its natural elasticity. It is very gentle.

14 year old girls too young to wear makeup?

i don't know whether or not thats too young. some of my friends wear a lot of make up for 14, like concealer, foundation, blush or bronzer, eyeliner, shadow, lip gloss and they put a ton of mascara on. but they look prettier with all that stuff on compared to when they don't wear makeup. i want to wear makeup now, not too much but i was wondering if u wear foundation at a young age, does ur skin get bad when u get older?

14 year old girls too young to wear makeup?
Yes, i would ask you to not use a foundation at this young age, maybe when you're 16 or 17 then yes... So at the mean time, maybe get a good tinted sunblock or tinted moisturizer, although it doesn't give you a good coverage... it helps balance out your skin tone. Which i think would be much nicer, cause you'll get a natural clean skin without having to worry too much about the sun and breakout since sunblock and moisturizer is considered as skin care... Then apply mascara and lip gloss.. I think that is pretty much enough for a 14 yrs old, cause trust me when I say you wouldn't want to pile up on all the make up cause you will be doing that when you hit 25 and it will be forever.. rofl, cause you'll want to try and cover all the flaws that you have when you're older... Which is pretty sad... =/

So no it's not too young for a little make up, it's actually good!Just remember to get a good make up remover and be sure to remove every bit of it before you go to bed..!

Enjoy...!
Reply:Don't wear that much when you're that young, especially every day! When you're that age, you really don't need makeup because you still have that fresh young skin. Oh, and yes, foundation can affect your skin if you wear it often from a young age. If I were you, I'd just stick with face powder, lipgloss, mascara, and maybe a pretty eyeshadow. Foundation can be very heavy, clog your pores, and look horrible if applied the wrong way. Powder is much lighter and does almost the same thing, and also helps control shine. I love the L'Oreal True Match compacts, but they're kind of expensive. I've also used the CoverGirl compacts, which are also great and are cheaper. Tinted moisturizer is great, too, because it does two things at once; it moisturizes and gives you a little color at the same time. I'm pretty sure all of the major makeup manufacturers make it. For your lips, CoverGirl makes a product called LipSlicks. It's a lipgloss, but it looks like lipstick in the tube. The color may look dark in the tube, but it goes on very sheer and very light. As for mascara, both CoverGirl Lash Exact or Maybelline Define-A-Lash are great. They've both got that new rubber mascara wand, so clumps are minimal. Just a warning, though - Maybelline has yet to release a waterproof version of the Define-A-Lash. Do NOT cake your mascara on like your friends do! 1-2 coats is all you need, or it'll clump, flake, and you'll achieve tarantula-leg lashes. I also highly recommend the eyelash comb by Sonia Kashuk. The bristles are metal and are spaced further apart, so it's easier to comb out mascara clumps. The only catch is that Target is the only place I've been able to find Sonia Kashuk, so you're out of luck if you don't live near one.

Just try this stuff, and maybe once your friends see how little you guys actually need, they'll get smart and wear less! If not, oh well...you'll be the one with the great skin when you're older. : )
Reply:Wear it but keep it light.

Get tinted moisturiser rather than heavy foundation

Make sure you take it off every night
Reply:im 14 too and i hardly ever wear foundation, i usually laugh at people who do, i mean what are they trying too hide, and it can make you break out really bad. just try the basics like eye liner, mascara, and lipgloss
Reply:i'm 14, all i wear is a little bit of brown eyeliner on top only, light brown eyeshadow, a little bit of mascara, some lip gloss and i'm done. i think it makes me look better, and i don't even feel like i'm wearing make up. it really annoys me when people my age wear a ton of make up and try to look like they're 25 or something.
Reply:wear light make up it ruins ur skin when u wear too much too young
Reply:im 14. this is what i do.

sunless tanning kit. :] it's not addicting.

mascara.

lip gloss.

make up REMOVER IS A MUST!

but like for special stuff i always put more on.
Reply:Of course!! I think lip gloss is enough.
Reply:It can if you don't rinse it off every night. I don't think you should go for the full on paint. Just try some mascara, shadow, lipgloss, and maybe liner. Concealer clogs your pores so I wouldn't use that. If you use a good acne cleanser you won't need it.
Reply:its stupid dont wear it
Reply:personally, im 16 and i dont even wear foundation, i just wear eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara. There's girls in my school that look like cup cakes b/c there's soo much makeup on their faces, its gross. i think girls at age 14 should only wear some eye makeup, they probably only need mascara...... foundation could cause some pimples if you dont regularly wash your face, b/c some foundation clogs your pores, but thats all i know about foundation making your skin look bad.
Reply:no im 14 and me and my friends were makeup all the time... i think i started when i was like 12 or 13... i use like most of tht stuff.. its fine to were makeup when ur 14 so if u want to where sum get it
Reply:Nah. As long as you're not using foundation you're fine. Foundation changes your skins texture after a few years, that's why I say that. Also make sure to wash your face and COMPLETELY remove any eye make-up. If you don't, you're more prone to getting eye infections and pink eye and sties, etc. Wrinkles also will set in at an earlier age. I know it's not much to think about now, but remember, you always want to try to avoid skin problems now, because later on they will cost a lot of money to repair them. Use your make-up moderately. It's not a more make-up competition. It's not ho much you wear.. It's how you wear it. So work it girl!
Reply:im 13 and wear makeup

but i dont wear all that

just eyeliner eyeshadow and lipgloss

and thats all ur really need until ur like older haha

and mascera is fine but dont over do it

u wanna still have a pretty and natural look!
Reply:It depends on the foundation

some foundations have chemicals in the that seep into your poors and make your skin get lumpy and makes you get wrinkles

but i think 14 is to young to wear foundation

maybe conceler if you have a zit or something some lip gloss mascara (not a lot though) and some eye shadow

but at 14 you skin should be smooth

if you have pimples or zits get noxzema acne pads they work so well and just wear like an spf 15 or 20 sunscreen on your face
Reply:Wear it. I'm 14, going into high school and I started wearing makeup in the 7th grade. It wasn't much at first though, and I just kept building on. Now I'm planning on wearing all of it for school, but not looking totally fake and caked-on of course. I barely wear any makeup in the summer though to give my skin a break!

Does a dog's skin turn darker over time?

My Golden Doodle is white and as a young dog had pink skin under his white coat. Now at 2 years of age he has dark almost black skin under his white coat. Is this normal?

Does a dog's skin turn darker over time?
This is happening to my dog too. She's a chihuahua who just turned one. The dark skin started out looking like freckles then slowly came together. Prior to this she was spayed and had dark skin in the area where they performed surgery, but now its just spreading. I took her to the vet and she said although uncommon sometimes dogs do change skin colors when aging. She said if there is flaking or her skin becomes rough or hair starts to fall out then that's cause for concern, but fortunately my puppies skin is healthy in spite of the darkened skin. She also said it could be a problem with her hormones, but said that if her skin looks healthy, than there is no cause for concern.

Also, you can always take your dog to a pet dermatologist and they can give you a better diagnosis.
Reply:take him to a vet. my dogs fur got darker and she got older, but not her skin :S
Reply:No, it is not normal, I think that the dog might have a medical condition, or has maybe just seen way too much sun. Dogs skin shouldnt get black.
Reply:The same thing happened to my pug-turned out he had some sort of skin problem common with the breed. I have to give him baths at least once a week now
Reply:It could be an allergy. My dog's skin develops dark patches when her allergies flare up. I would take him to the vet and have him checked out.
Reply:Well it depends on what kind of dog you own. The skin darkening could be from maturing or be some kind of funky disese. or it could be a disorder or somthing. But If your that worried about it you could just ask a nearby veternarian or someone thats an expert on dogs.
Reply:I don't know about that Consult a VET fast! It could be hipogeanyo a rare disease
Reply:I don't think so, I have a white dog and he has pink skin. he is 13 now.
Reply:I have a little golden dach/lab mix and her skin did the exact same thing. I was so concerned and took her to the vet. As dogs age, their skin color can change. She is dark and patchy just like you describe on her tummy. She is 6 and fit as a fiddle. I will confess it did make me feel better to have the vet tell me everything was fine. Maybe you should just take her in to be sure. Made me feel much better.
Reply:Take it to the vet. All I know is that when they get older their fur turns whiter or grayer.

If i quit smoking will the dark circles under my eyes go away, and will my skin look younger?

Nope. You officially screwed yourself over for the rest of your life. No turning back. Your skin may not look younger but wont wrinkle as much as it does now. Try it though. Eyes may look better after some weeks/months.

If i quit smoking will the dark circles under my eyes go away, and will my skin look younger?
Probably, in time. Not straight away.

If you have dark circles under your eyes you might not be getting enough sleep.
Reply:Dark circles I'm not sure about, but people's skin does look older due to smoking.
Reply:you've probibly already done a number to yourself. But, If you quit, you will age slower and it will help your eyes.
Reply:it may take longer time the dark circle under your eyes go away. if you go straight enough sleep might not take long the dark circles under your eyes disappear and your skin will look younger if you stop smoking. also, eat balance diet like go straight on vegetables, enough water and milk.
Reply:no the circles under your eyes will get worse because once you quit smoking you will have more women knocking on your door and you will be up all nite every nite

becareful quitting smoking can be hazardous to your health
Reply:Hello There,

I personally think that "if" you get to quit smoking, you will look and feel younger and have more energy as well.

My wife smoked for over 10 years and when she found out that she was pregnant with our now newborn 3 months old daughter, she had promised me that if I found a good solution for quitting, she will try her best to kick the habit.

Well in my spare time I started researching online for quit smoking programs, meanwhile she was trying out patches and gums that you can buy at grocery stores and adventually they would not work for her.

After about a week of researching I had stumbled over a website that really impressed me on what they had to offer and that they actually say that they can almost guarantee your success, and most importantly that you can try it out for free.

The company has been around for over 20 years now and they have helped over a million smokers quit since and their kit has everything that you possibly need to help you quit smoking, I thought WoW that is impressive.

I went ahead and ordered the free trial for my wife (only paid for shipping) and she has quit smoking in just two weeks and she doesn't want to hear about or smell another cigarette again in her life :)

Now it is up to you, but since my wife has quit, I was so happy about her success, so much so that I had built a small review site of the product to also help other people quit, you can check it out at; http://time2quitnow.com if you want to find out more.

Thanks for reading my short story, I hope it helps, good luck and stay healthy.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:

Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water %26amp; stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath %26amp; let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off. Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K %26amp; Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

To hide dark circles, you can use YSL concealer or salmon concealer..

Change in skin texture?

when i was young, like 10, my skin was so much different. i would get a beautiful rich tan as soon as summer hit. it was moist and smooth and perfect. at like 13 up i went through an acne stage, i still had nice skin underneath, but i had acne. i was still got a nice tan but not quite as dark. now im 19, the acne is gone, but my skin is just so different. i have an olive base, but i don't tan as easily, for the first time in my life i get sunburn. but whats annoying me most is the general texture. it used to be moist and smooth and very even toned. now you can see my pores more, no acne but it's more gravely in texture. you can see tiney little hair fibers that weren't visible before. i'm really refering mostly to my back chest and shoulders. i miss my old skin. is there anything i can to to recover the texture?

Is it true that moisturizers containing alcohol will actually make your skin drier in the long term?

I heard this from my nutritionist and from a freind of mine who works in Whole Body Dept at Whole foods. Knowing this, I am reluctant to use moisturizers on my face and body, but still would like some way to my skin supple and young. Are there any recommendations? what about pure vitamin e oil? or burts bees lotions? thank so much

Is it true that moisturizers containing alcohol will actually make your skin drier in the long term?
yes, alcohol strips your skin of its natural oils irritating it and drying it our
Reply:Yes, it's true. While okay now and then constant use will dry out your skin.
Reply:There are plenty of moisturizers out there that have no alcohol in them. I am like you, and like to do whatever I need to keep my skin supple. I use the Arbonne anti-aging products (www.arbonne.com) and I use all of them -- the cleanser, toner, serum, eye cream, and moisturizer. I absolutely love how it makes my skin feel. Using wholesome botanical products is important to me.

I'm sure Burt's Bees products are good as well, but I prefer to use products that are more targeted towards anti-aging so that I'm keeping my skin young and firm and smooth.

Is placenta really works as an anti-aging or helps in skin care?

They say that mixing this placenta to the concerns food, helps skin to keep young. But is this not a type of cannibalism?

Is placenta really works as an anti-aging or helps in skin care?
Are you kidding? How are you going to go around collecting placentas? Animals eat theirs, hospitals incinerate them, ( after inspection), I think you are a freak.

By the way, placentas are eaten by animals, not to anti-age, but to ensure more nourishment for their newborns.

This reminds me of the chick who applied semen to her roots and scalp several times a week.

YUK! Don't even think about this freaky sh*t.
Reply:I've never heard of that. Yes, I'd consider that cannibalism if you eat it.
Reply:It is believed that they carry residue of stem cells, that can regenerate to other cells.

I personally thinks it is gross.
Reply:probably not, they released a report last month with information regarding face lotions being sold in this country. They said they really didn't help with anti aging and that plain soap and water did more for your skin then the overpriced moisturizers.

I think it was CNN or Msnbc I saw it on.
Reply:Yes, let's bottle placenta and make ourselves beautiful. Even if it does work does it really matter?
Reply:Ew.. That's really gross! Would you honestly eat it? I don't think so.
Reply:I've gotten hair products with placenta in it but IT'S NOT HUMAN PLACENTA!!! That would be horrible!!! It's usually the placenta from pigs. And yes, it's good for your hair and your skin.
Reply:The placenta is a great hair moisturizer.
Reply:i think it would.. if you were a woman it would be like eating yourself...

ive never heard anything about it helping with aging and if it did i dont think i would ever everrrrr try it thats just sick.

How common is it to have extra skin after losing a lot of weight?

I am working on loosing a lot of weight and was wondering if there is a right combination of diet and exercises that would prevent this from happening. I am 30 and haven't had kids yet so I figure my skin is still young enough to go back naturally. Will toning prevent it? Any advice would be helpful

Do you like black hair with fair skin?

People tell me that I'm very pale, I want to dye my hair black because it looks exotic and would bring out my eyes, if i dye it black they would tease me of being so white because im the only white girl in the school. THUS, i would never get a tan, I don't want cancer, and I want my skin to stay young!

Is 18 too young for microdermabrasion?

I want to buy an at home microdermabrasion kit, but I was wondering if my skin was too young for that kind of treatment?

Is 18 too young for microdermabrasion?
No, unless you have sensitive skin (your skin may be sore for a few days) you should be fine to use it.
Reply:im 18 and i got the neutragena 1, my skin was really soft after i did it
Reply:no your never to young for microdermabrasion unless you are under 1 foot tall
Reply:well, if yo uare doing microdermabrasions while 18, you either hace acne or just bad skin. try eating better and drinking lots of water.
Reply:Yes, much too young. You don't say why you want it, but if it's anything to do with acne, then your skin will probably settle down as your estrogen levels rise and your testosterone comes under control.
Reply:Yes, don't even think about it you could damage your skin. Using a buff puff and any cleanser with granulates in it is plenty of dead skin cell removal for now. Darling, use sunscreen everyday, drink plenty of water it is the fountain of youth and clean your skin with a balanced PH cleanser (gentle not harsh and drying) and your skin will be beautiful.
Reply:Micro-dum-a-whatsion? I can't even say it.

Not necessarily too young. But why would you consider this treatment? especially since you're at an age where the skin can naturally replenish itself if proper care is given on a regular basis.

If you are still very concerned about it, I suggest you get a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th opinion from qualified experts.

Just my humble opinion.
Reply:no it is not. im 16 and i use microdermabrasion to get rid of ance scars and to get my pores smaller.
Reply:No
Reply:It depends. At 18, your skin still has a high cell turn over rate and you really don't need to slough off any excess skin because of that. This is why microdermabrasion is usually best for older people, as the older you get the slower your skin's cell turn over rate is and the more dull your skin becomes. However, some people do get microdermabrasion at that age due to severe pigmentation left over from acne, certain types of scarring or occasionally, if they have excessive keratosis pilaris.

If you skin doesn't have any issues like that, I wouldn't bother with microdermabrasion. A professional wouldn't do micro on someone who's 18 and has no skin problems, so you shouldn't do it at home if you don't need it, either.

Really, if your skin doesn't genuinely need it - don't do it. You'll be wasting your money on a microdermabrasion kit because you really won't be seeing any results. :)

(Also, I meant to add: if you have acne, do not use microdermabrasion. It will only irritate it and open your skin up to infection.)
Reply:If you have oily skin, use twice a week, If dry, once a week. I use neutrogena

Make up,what wud suit me im faired skin, freckles, younger looking than 28.?
hey... as u have fair skin it is easy for u to use wide range of colours... easpecially pink.or light broun and gloden... when u use the pink shadows use som black along ur upper eyelid... u can use grey for that or any blue... make it as thin line u don't need to use an eye liner for that coz u can do it with the shadow... just use thin prush for that, it is more beautiful.

for brown make up.. don't use a pinky powder.. go for light bronze and on ur upper eyelid let the dark brown gradually become gloden till u reach ur eyebrow... some dark brown along the far end of ur lower eyelid. Use a brown mascara. finally when

u put on dark shadow on yr eyes go for very light lipstick... when the light shadow.. go for dark lipstick..

Well, first off, it depends. There are plenty of items that help people look younger. There's anti-wrinkle cream, anti-aging cream, anti-aging foundation, concealer for bags, and wrinkles, etc.

http://www.lifescript.com/channels/beaut...

May want to read that ^^

http://mybodyoil.com/index.php?option=co...

And this ^^

However, i suggest, anti aging foundation, and some mineral makeup.

Here's what i think you should do.

Well, first buy some anti-aging products by OLAY. I know some people who have products that work very well, but they are from a foreign company called oriflame [www.oriflame.com]

So, to start off, and to not spend too much $, you should get some anti-aging cream, anti-wrinkle cream, and concealer for bags and puffiness. There's also a 90 second treatment i saw on tv, but that's a diff. story. So, get those products from OLAY or ORIFLAME. And buy a mineral makeup concealer.

So, follow the directions on the products, apply them when necessary.

In the morning:

-apply your foundation minimally with a brush.

-apply blush, pinkish shade is best on pale whitish skin.

-apply powder, tinted or not.

-And your ready to go.

And by the wayy, the 90s econd wrinkle treatment is [https://www.youthology.com/]

it seems like it works, so you may consider that.

Hope i helped! :]
Reply:-- Drink a lot of water, all of the time.

-- Always clean your skin before going to bed; never wear make-up to bed.

-- Use sunscreen.

-- Use moisturizer.

-- Try not to burn your skin; be kind to it.

Best of luck . . .
Reply:Moisterize, moisterize, moisterize. Drink water and retain it in your skin with a good moisterizer. I've been using both Palmer's cocoa butter and a oil called squalane. You can get the cocoa butter anywhere, but a good brand of squalane is harder to find, and it can get expensive ($29+). That is why I use cocoa butter when I run out. Again, drink water and moisterize day and night.

i want to keep my skin fresh and young, as long as i can. i stress a lot though.. and i also wanna help this out.

How do u treat ur skin esp. your face?
I am now 47 and since childhood I have always cleaned my face with Regular Listerine and cotton balls, especially over and around the nose and forehead area. You would not believe the dirt that comes off. With it being antiseptic you have an additional benefit. I have always had a clear but light complexion, my teachers even commented on this throughout high school. Always to keep your fingers off your face. Always use cotton balls, q-tips, something sanitary. The Listerine should start drying alot of it over night. My daughter is 18 and wanted me to get Pro-active. She had a recent breakout and ask me what to do. I again told her to get use the Listerine before I ordered it. To her surprise, Mom was right. Her face has stayed clear for the past three months. Her boyfriend has started using it also. At first it will tingle, but not a bad tingle, so don't get scare. Your face will feel clean and breathable. and for moisturizeing, I use cocoa butter at night. Your face will not get wrinkles and stays so soft.
Reply:Im a big fan of Mary Kay. If you havent ever tried it.. you can get some samples from someone local by going to the website. It really leaves your skin baby soft. I also use the microderm abrasion 2 times a week.. which have small crystals in it.. the same ones they use in the office.. and its Wonderful. I dont have the crows feet lines yet.. but I ritually put on the age fighting eye cream night and day!
Reply:try witch-hazel. get some cotton-swabs and dab it on regularly. it is inezpensive and isnt that bad. or, try around. expensive isnt always better. start out with the basics, then move on up. find out exactly what you want and get a list that is about 5 products long- then look around and try things. or, ask your friends. talk to someone you know and you might find a product that is great for you! that is what i did!!!
Reply:I use Anew from Avon, it keeps my face looking young..but you got to do it every day and night cant be lazy. Most people think I'm about 22-24.
Reply:BeautiControl has a complete skin care wellness program. Your skin care regimen is targeted for your skin. If you don't know of anyone in your area...I can help to find someone.

Exfoliate your skin including your face 1x daily preferably at night. Use washcloth and soap. Rinse with cool water.

When moisturing, don't just slather it on, massage it in, especially your face.

Pay close attention to those areas that are likely to wrinkle. Around the eyes, forehead, around mouth. The trick is to generate enough heat to permit the moisturizer to penetrate the epidermis.

I use a facial moisturizer that contains Vit. E. At night I use Alpha Hydrox.

When showering, remember to scrub tops of your toe nails as well as your belly button %26amp; in %26amp; around your ears. People often neglect these unseen spots but bacteria don't and have a fun (gal) party.
Reply:get a beauty treatment-you need three things-Facial wash, Facial Toner (I have a product that has both of these combined) and a Moisturizer-you will need two of these, one for morning and one for evening. Wash and tone your face every morning and night. Use your moisturizer after every wash. And the biggest secret is lots and lots of water. It does wonders for your complexion

Hi , I have an oily acne pimple prone skin , so can I use oil on my face ?
If your skin is naturally oily (mine is) I would think oil will make it worse. Sometimes though, overactive oil glands can be caused because the skin isn't hydrated well enough or balanced, so your body produces more oil than normal. That may explain how that other helped, it may have hydrated the skin and balanced it out. If you think that oil stuff works well, you know what works best for you, so I can't tell you what will happen. The thing about oily skin is that it happens from the inside out. It happens with stress and diet and your natural body chemistry. This is why all those topical creams and cleansers never work that well. Taking skin herbs and vitamins (I do) can help your body regulate its oil more effectively. A better diet can also be a big help because the face is a visual sign of how healthy your body's nutrition is. Try to keep the stress and nerves low. Drinking lots of water all day will also decrease your oily skin. I hope you find something that works for you. Good luck!
Reply:if you have very oily skin tht would be kind of stupid wouldnt you think
Reply:If you have oily skin, by a moisterizer that is made for oily skin. clean and clear makes some that are oil free.
Reply:I have heard that if your body is properly hydrated then you will not need a moisturizer, except in the colder months when the furnace is on and the air is drier.
Reply:Perhaps you should see a physician. Your glands may be over-active. Acne is often an internal problem but is treated externally. Some doctors prescribe myocycline type of antibiotic which is very effective. If your acne is treated through internal medication, you should be able to apply cream on your face.

Hope this helps.
Reply:I've never heard of the products you have mentioned. But if you have oily skin, putting more oil on would do more harm. Look for a moisturizer made for oily skin or see a dermatologist. I hear that Proactive is very good and not too expensive either.
Reply:No, do not put oil on oily skin. Acne is caused by bacteria and dead skin cells clogging up your pores. Washing it regularly but not so frequently to cause your oil glands to go in over production. I recommend Neutrogena for acne prone skin or the proactive solution regimen. If you absolutely feel the need to moisturize, use it for oil prone skin and use it sparingly. Over moisturizing (and with the wrong ones) can cause you to break out more. Also don't expect overnight results. It could take a good week or more to see consistant results. Get a spot treatment for breakouts and do not pop them as it can make them worse and cause scarring.
Reply:Use alcohol-based products. Lotions and creams are good for treating acne accompanied by dry skin, while alcohol-based gels and solutions are best for teating acne-prone oily skin.

Why does moisturiser seem to make my skin drier?

I am a guy who doesn't normally use moisturiser, but I understand that I should do in order to keep my skin healthy and young looking. However, when I try to use it on my face, my skin feels good at first, but the next day my face seems to be drier and a bit flaky. If I moisturise again, my skin seems even drier the next day. So I give up, and my skin gets back to normal What am I doing wrong? I use a brand name moisturiser. I don't get a rash or anything, so I don't feel like its an allergy.

Why does moisturiser seem to make my skin drier?
Sounds like you need to exfoliate. Everyone should be exfoliating daily to keep those dry flakes away. Also, you might want to switch to a higher performing moisturizer. Good luck!
Reply:I have the same problem.
Reply:Using a water or alcohol based moisturizer is probably your issue. You may want to consider switching moisturizers. I know people aren't the biggest fan of the "greasy feeling" oil based moisturizers have, but they don't dry your skin out like the others. The greasy feeling usually dissipates before too long so you should definitely try a different product.
Reply:Weird! I have the exact same problem.

It's usually worse for me in the winter months.

The best I could suggest is to not do it everyday, since it forces your skin to overcompensate for the moisture. And as someone said above... try exfoliating, Once your skin is free of dead skin, it'll handle the moisturizer better.
Reply:Sometimes what looks like dry skin is actually a buildup of dead skin cells you need to get rid of. You can exfoliate several ways...either with a gentle facial scrub, by using a washcloth (gentle circular motions) or by using a toner with salicylic or alpha hydroxy acid.
Reply:Maybe the moisturizer you are using is too strong. I am sure that someone makes a gentle moisturizer for men.
Reply:ME AND MY HUBBY LOVE PALMERS COCO BUTTER ...... ITS NOT TOO COSTLY AND IT DOES A WONDERFUL JOB AND YOU CAN GET IT AT WALMART ....... I ALSO USE ST. IVES SCRUB ON MY FACE AND IT HELPS TOO ..... I HOPE YOU TRY THESE !!!!!
Reply:Take more water and vegetables daily. Besides that, you can consider to read out the links I have given you on some highly recommended Jap prod.

Besides that you can take dunaliella soft capsules which is anti-oxidant and will help to improve the skin as it has all the vitamins in it.
Reply:Heres what you need to do this is what my husband uses he's been using this for 5 years now. You have to use the right skin tone for you. Reply:O don't be silly about the girly names... I bet girls will like you more because then it means you are in touch with your girly side.

I started using Mary Kay not to long ago and LOVED IT so much that I got my husband on it:) I need not tell you who puts on his Mary Kay everymorning...
Reply:You are probably using the wrong moisturiser, also because its a brand name doesnt nescessarily make it good

Go and treat yourself to a facial, most decent salons have one designed for men, speak to the therapist about this problem, and take the moisturiser with you if you can

There may be something in it that doesnt agree with your skin (Lanolin is really bad....if this is in the ingrediants of anything you use then stop using it)

She will advise you on a moisturiser to suit your skin type and some salons have a return policy where if they advise you the wrong product you can go back and swap it foc

Good luck!

Will drinking water make your skin stay younger?

It cleans your system and yes it helps you from getting wrinkles at a young age.

Will drinking water make your skin stay younger?
Yes. That, and staying out of the sun.
Reply:No. Your skin ages with your body. If you are 56 years old, so will be your skin. It doesn't matter how much water you have.
Reply:It will help.
Reply:one good effect is, it will keep ur skin moisturized. so it will look healthy and very well hydrated.
Reply:The answer is yes, because if you don't drink water, you would die of dehydration, your skin will most definately be affected in an aged manner! Although drinkingvinegar enhances youth and elasticity in the skin, being a metabolic stimulator it provides the body with the required elements to optimise life and kills bacteria! Also an excellent weight supplement, but only that brand on the website is enjoyable and a real drinking vinegar. two sparkling vinegars are also available for health!
Reply:maybe yes maybe no
Reply:thats what they say but using sunscreen and staying out of the sun will help you more.

Does eating fish make your skin look younger and healthier?

What are the perks of eating fish? How much should you eat?

Does eating fish make your skin look younger and healthier?
Oily fish like salmon is great for the skin if eaten twice or so per week. Grilled is best!!!
Reply:It depends on the type of fish, and how it is cooked.

It will also depend on how the fish was raised (natural or farm raised). Finally, the mercury content must be figured in.

It's not enough to just say, "I'm going to eat more fish.
Reply:Fish you can eat three times a week. omega-3 fatty acids help with the cholestrol and should help with the skin also. Big Hug, menome

How can I make my skin look younger?

Get a lotion that moisturizes and decreases wrinkles. I would suggest a few, but I can't think of any right now. Look at you're local publix or winn-dixie in the beauty department.

Reply:Stay out of the sun and moisutize!!! Wear your sun block. Of course not knowing your age, you could think about laser resurfacing..
Reply:Tretinoins are the best way. Examples Retina A or Avita. They are used in combo to reduce fine lines and treat acne. The only drawback is you must stay out of the sun or use a good spf suncreen.
Reply:Include these 5 things in ur diet regularly....

Am I too young to be using Creme de la mer?

I'm only 21 years old but I've started using Creme de la mer, the "miracle cream".

A few people told me that I shouldn't be using it because my skin's already young and if I carry on using it then my skin will start to depend on the cream. Then when I stop using it, my skin will go terribly wrong.

I've searched the net to see if anyone in my age range uses it but can't seem to find any.

Any advice?

Thanks

Am I too young to be using Creme de la mer?
Those people were right
Reply:You are too young. I don't know about La Mer, but most products for aging skin have a LOT of moisturizers, which makes them way too rich for younger skin which isn't as dry. Also, La Mer is so very expensive, and since your skin is so young you are throwing your money away. You can get by just fine with a drugstore lotion with SPF. Protect your skin from the sun now, so you won't need as much anti-aging products later in life. Oh, and don't smoke.
Reply:At your age you really don't need it, so stop wasting your money. Remember it is mostly aimed at older people with dry stretched skin.

Skin Cancer?
Melanoma...describe phase 1, phase 2, phase 3, and phase 4. Phases one and two can usually be treated without the body reacting and waging a battle. In phase 3 your body is fighting with the chemo and drugs, also your body against your own body. Phase 4 is fatal...usually only having 3-10 months to live. Most melanoma cases are started by being out in the sun as a teenager, hanging an arm out the window, or tanning beds. A freckle turns into a mole, a mole turns into a lump which is cancerous.

how to treat early detected skin cancer

go on the internet and find pictures of the various forms of skin cancer.
Reply:Skin cancer is a very widespread disease that can be diagnosed in babies to geriatrics. I would definately print up many pictures of all forms of skin cancer. Probably in a portfolio style. There are types that can show up on infants that are related to the liver. Melanoma can also be caused from heredity. You are lucky though to have a project on this disease, b/c there is alot of info (w/ pictures to display) to submit. It doesn't take much research to understand the many diff. causes, treatments, prognosis, shapes, colors, and textures. It is also a good thing to know for you and your family' health. If you know what to look for, you can catch the cancer early with a good prognosis. Good luck on your project.
Reply:Hi There

Here is answer most people dont know.

Causes of Cancer

There are many potential causes of cancer. They include unresolved congestion and the buildup of waste products in the lymphatic system, lack of exercise, poor diet, nutritional deficiencies, environmental toxins, chronic constipation and an impacted colon, hormone imbalances, parasites, sexually transmitted diseases (especially gonorrhea), stress, as well as genetic predisposition.

2. Sunscreens: Although sunscreens have for years been touted as a preventive measure to protect against melanoma (skin cancer), new research indicates that sunscreens themselves can be instrumental in causing melanoma because of how they prevent the skin from producing vitamin D, an essential hormone-like nutrient that helps to inhibit the growth of melanoma and other cancers. The new research debunks the claim that sunscreens prevent cancer in humans. All they do is prevent sunburn. Moreover, research also shows that the rise in melanoma rates have been directly proportional to the sales rates of sunscreens. A more protective method is to avoid direct sunlight around an hour before and three hours after noon and/or to wear protective head gear (hats, visors, scarves, etc.) when outdoors.

Best of health to you

Cheers

How to keep skin look younger, smooth and whiter?

rosy whiter skin? here's your best bet -

- use good quality and safe skin whitening products, not hydroquinone-, mercury-, or steroid-based because these harm the skin.

- wear high spf (at least 30) sunscreen

- use with your favorite moisturizers

- take a dose of vitamin C.

that's how to achieve and keep it that way. :-)
