Dry skin... and how do you get rid of it?
have you tried baby oil??? palmers cocoa butter is really good too...
Reply:Try uding a teaspoon of vinigar and a teaspoon of honey. Mix it and rub it into your legs.
Reply:exfoliate well in the shower before shaving and in between shaves. use moisturizing shaving cream. moisturize well when dry -do this often and with a rich cream. stay away from store brands and try to skip the fancy smelling lotions. i like to use baby oil in the shower just before i dry off. drink lots of water and use a vaporizer or humidifier in your home.
Reply:wow that sucks!!! You should talk to you're doctor or see a dermatologist and ask them to give you a really good and strong moisturizing cream for them if that doesn't work ask them if there's any sort of medicine you could take and also make sure to drink plenty of water!!!!
Reply:Hi

Have you tried using a pure moisteriser like E45? If so then you should see a doctor and get their advice. It may be you have mild ezema or a skin condition that causes the scalyness.... he should be able to prescribe you some cream to sort it if the normal noisterisers dont work.

But def try E45 first - its great stuff!

Reply:have you asked your doctor about it? there might be something a dermatologist could prescribe that would help get rid of it. it might be worth checking in to.
Reply:Some creams don`t work as good as they say they do. Try eucerin cream every night. It really works. You can also use a teaspoon of honey and a teaspoon of vinigar and rub it on your legs.
Reply:Try Gold Bond lotion it works like a charm!
Reply:I have had dry skin problems, especially in the winter months, when the air is very dry. My solution came after alot of eliminations. I have found that Omega 3 ( fish oil) helps to moisturize your skin from the inside out. Any fish oil goes directly to your skin. Omega 3 is in a pill form--a large capsule that is easy to swallow. Take one everyday and you will notice after about 3 days that the itching stops.
Reply:soak in a warm bath with vasoline bath soak atleast 2 times a week and apply cetaphil moisturizing cream 3 to 4 times a week
Reply:Drink adequate fluid, at least 8 glasses a day, including water, fruit juice, soup, etc.

Eat at least 2 portions of green, leafy vegetables and 2 portions of seasonal fruits daily.

Avoid junk food as much as possible.

Don't smoke.

Use moisturising body lotions adequately and regularly.

Avoid hot, dry weather as much as possible.

Avoid soap; use face wash, liquid moisture rich hand wash and bath gel instead.

Use hand cream, foot cream and overnight face cream daily.

Try Vit. E capsules (400 mg/day).

Avoid frequent steam baths.

If you don't get favourable results with the above steps, consult a cosmetologist/dermatologist.

Dryness of skin leads to its premature aging, so don't neglect it.

Reply:So everyone that has answered so far is telling you about topical applications. My advise is WATER. Drink more water. I had hideously dry skin, shiny shins (sound familiar to you?), just awful flaking and yes, I could scratch the word "dry" into my skin. I started to drink more water and now it's so much better, REALLY! Just increase your water intake. If that doesn't help (along with the lotions and oils you can try), how about checking in with your local Endocrinologist? It could be a thyroid issue.
Reply:You can try to use miho medicated bath salt (very fine texture, shampoo size - 550g) and miho cleansing milk to do a scrub daily or on alternative day. Afterwhich you apply the miho milk lotion on the area. Do it regularly and you should be able to see the effect. This bath salt can also be used as a body scrub and even on the face.

Exclusive product available online and not sold in any departmental store.
Reply:The best treatment is to put safflower oil in a spray can and spray a small amount every day when you get out of the shower!...I know you will say that´s a cooking oil? but try it! you will get amazed with the results!!!!
Reply:try various types of lotions Ex Aveeno is really good. Moisterize very often especially since ur skin gets dry fast. If that doesn't work see a dermatologist
