How do you get flawless skin?

I've tried about everything, but nothing seems to really keep off any blemishes. I've also heard that if you have bad acne when you are young, then you will have clear skin when you get older. Is this true?

How do you get flawless skin?
Well, for some lucky people it clears when you get older. Pimples are caused by bacteria on your skin getting trapped in the pores by excess oil. Your body attacks the bacteria making a little red inflamed mound. I have found that you just have to try new soaps and moisturizers until you get a system that works for you. Right now I use a mild face soap (not bar soap! too harsh) and lots of moisturizer (especially in the winter). If you over dry your face it will produce more oil to compensate and as a result more bacteria will be trapped in your pores, the bacteria is the enemy, not your oil. Also, exfoliate your skin once a week b/c dead skin cells help to trap the bacteria in your pores. If it is really bad you can go to a dermatologist and they can prescribe a potent acne medication for you.
Reply:That's a Herculean task!
Reply:Drink lots of purified water and squeeze a lemon in it .

Must be purified water and must be Organic Lemon.

Drink at least a quart of this daily.

Also, do not use any soaps or chemicals on your skin. Just purified water and lemon juice if it is oily skin.

This will give you beautiful skin.
Reply:Sometimes it's true but not always I'm the only one who has had any acne at all as a teen all my family get acne as a adult

I just put on lots of makeup to get my skin looking flawless
Reply:WATER WATER WATER, and PURE water at that. Evian or Aquafina!

Lines on my skin?!!?!?!?!?!?!?

:S okay im 15 years old and the last few days ive been tanning on a black been bag for 3 hours from 12-5pm and i didnt use sun screen and lately im noticing lines on my skin some deeper than other EW im sfraid now i stopped tanning because of this but its not going away soooooo what can i use on my skin to make it younger again im so stupid for tanning but w.e i learned my lesson

Lines on my skin?!!?!?!?!?!?!?
You're making this up.
Reply:Tan lines maybe?
Reply:ok the first thing you have to do is get out of the sun..but you've already figured that out. the next thing to do is to start wearing sunscreen everytime you step outside...use a moisturizer with spf..EVERY DAY. I can't stress that enough.

Now, you're still young so your skin will recover. Use some aloe and cocoa butter on your skin. Drink plenty of water. You'll be fine and you're lucky that you learned your lesson now while you're still young.
Reply:haha..wrinkles...haha...idiot...haha!!
Reply:Maybe they are stretch marks cocoa butter or bio oil are good for any skin problems from ageing to blemishes.
Reply:i would say that you should go to the hospital because you never know you might have an effection from tanning and a docter can perscribe the right oitments or medication to get rid of the lines because if you buy creme or oitment it might irritate the skin even more and cause a more serious situation.
Reply:The #1 reason we age is tanning - so it's a tough price to pay (trust me I know) I use the re9 regime by Arbonne it does reverse some of the damage done by the sun it's not cheap but worth every dime for people who wants results and have an 'issue'..
Reply:You tanned from 12-5? That would cook you inside out.

How can I help my very oily skin?

I used to have very dry skin when I was younger. Now I am almost 30 and my skin just keeps getting oiler and oiler. I do not have acne or blackheads but I do have large pores. I use a pack of blotting papers in a week and I'm still OILY! I hear that witch hazel is a good product to try but where do I find it, what does it look like and what is the recommended usage of it?

I have already read tons of postings from other people about oily skin but they all seemed to be teenagers. I am constantly embarassed by my skin and really need some advice. I am seriously thinking about seeing a dermatologist but I have to wonder if insurance would pay for the medication they subscribe.

Any thoughts are welcomed.

Thanks!

How can I help my very oily skin?
Witch hazel comes in a bottle something like rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide. It's not even expensive. It's also not terribly effective, but since it's cheap, give it a try if you want.

I had oily skin as an adult, too. What helped was

--wash GENTLY (no scrubbing, even if I'm breaking out) two times a day with a very mild soap

--blot mid-morning, mid-afternoon, and mid-evening, no more

--use a non-comedogenic (is that the word?) liquid foundation, if you use foundation, which specifies a matte finish

--use a powder intended for oily skin, with a matte finish, designed to counter shine (I like Cornsilk and come back to it after every experimental purchase.)

--and the biggie, even though it seems counterintuitive, is MOISTURIZE.

What? Yeah, I know. But for me, the oily skin was my body's normal reaction to me stripping away the oils by washing, blotting, wiping down, and such, many times a day. My body replaced those oils, and then some.

Once I started using a very light moisturizer (for me, Neutrogena “Moisture” oil-free for sensitive skin or L'Oreal Dermo-Expertise “Futur*e Moisturizer” + a Daily Dose of Pure Vitamin e, Normal to Dry Skin are favorites, and anything containing sunscreen was a failure), my oily skin got a whole lot less oily.

I hope it does the same for you.
Reply:Your insurance should cover at least some one the medications due to them being given via prescription.

Witch hazel can be bought in stores such as Wal-Mart, Walgreens, and CVS. It is usually with the facial removal products. I would try using a power on your face and not an oil based make-up. You might have to pay more for it, but if it helps you feel better about your face then it's worth it.
Reply:I had the same problem and I'm 30, I currently use Cliniques facial cleansing system for oily skin (but most skin care lines for oily skin will work). Just make sure all your face products are oil-free, and yes witch hazel is good, but it's useless if you're using make-up that has oil in it.

Good Luck

And I also use this every night before I go to bed. I know that this is a Mary Kay product, but it really helps with acne and it is a great cleanser.

http://www.marykay.com/skincare/cleanser...

I use this after every shower that I take. All it is is just a lotion that you rub over the acne or anything like that and it will help it go away a whole lot faster. The only down side is that it is a prescription that your doctor will need to prescribe you, too. But don’t worry, there is nothing wrong with it and it works super well. It is extremely cheap and easy to get at any pharmacy.

And the main thing that I do that helps my acne go away really fast is if I go swimming in a pool that has Chlorine in it. Chlorine is a cleanser and it actually helps clean your skin and it makes my acne go away a whole lot faster than the leading brands. So I would recommend this way more than the others above just because it is a fun and enjoyable way to get rid of the acne.

I hope that you can find your answer within some of these websites. These are all great products and they really help and work for the acne problem. Good luck!

A Mole appeared, could it be Skin Cancer?
Hello!! Lol im that age too!!! well yea, i dont know, you SHOULD seee a doctor ust to make sure but it does not always have to be cancer. if it really doesnt run in your family then im sure it isnt!!! but you should still see... Well yea hope i helped!! luv,

~Nonna~
Reply:NO, sounds like just a mole. I would not worry about it
Reply:i think you have wart. if you go to your local surgery your doctor will remove it for you it will need to freeze first . it won't hurt. good luck
Reply:I think at this point it's unlikely that it's skin cancer. If the mole starts to grow, get inflamed or bleed from the center....then you need to have it checked out.

I had a mole on my neck since birth. Only after about 20 years did I have to have it removed. Hope this helps!
Reply:are you sure it's a mole and not a wart,go to the nearest pharmacy and buy something to remove warts. If after 2 weeks it's still there go to your family doctor. They'll do a biopsey on it,don't get yourself sick till you find out it could just be a cist and can be removed no problem
Reply:should never ever use wart remover on a mole. if you are so worried which you probably should not be go see a dermatologist.
Reply:the question is how much time do you spend in the sun? it could be skin cancer if it doesnot go away you might want to see your doctor.
Reply:Well first of all, are you sure it's a mole? If it is, just keep an eye on it, and if it begins to change colors or shape, then you should go to the doctor.
Reply:i wold not worry about that and by the way it's the colts foot ball team becaue thats where i go to school why who are you do you go there to?

I want to keep my skin very healthy looking?

so that it looks nice when i am older. i already:

-wear sunscreen anytime it is sunny, i never tan or lay out

-use lotion constantly

-dont wear makeup

-use sensitive skin astringent ( to help keep it clean durring the day without washing)

what are some products for young wemon to use so our skin can be its best, now and for the future?

I want to keep my skin very healthy looking?
drink lots of water.. eat healthy.. and take vitamin e, vitamin c, zinc and b vitamins..

also one thing i do as an exfoliate is i scrub my face with an electric toothbrush.. it's sounds kinda weird but it works.. it really cleans out your pores and removes dead skin, oil and dirt.. you can use any scrub ya like.. i like to use st. ives.. and i do it about three times a week..

hope this helps..
Reply:I know you are looking for products, but diet is really important along with drinking lots of water, etc...on a side note I think that fish is really good for it...I've seen a lot of people who main food is fish and they look great...but it may be a coincidence.
Reply:Arbonne has great products. They are clean, non-irritating, no dyes, preservatives, no clogging. They just make you feel good when you use them....i love them, they make your skin feel clean, fresh and alive....i am not kidding either. I think it is because they are so chemical free. Obagi is good too. You do not need a prescription for most of the Obagi products, until it comes time where you might need some extra help,,like maybe 40s or 50s...lol, otherwise no prescription for either. They both come in kits or separates and have all you need. They will both ward off the signs of aging. I am 32 and pass for 25....all the time. Arbonne would have something perfect for you. If you want info u can contact me or else Google it. I do not like soliciting on here. Personally i do not like anything that can be bought at any dept store.

Oh yes and drink plenty of water and eat well. You need protein, omega acids, fruit. Take your vitamins. B vitamins carry all the oxygen and iron around and those keep your skin oxygenated. sometimes give your face a break from any products. Exfoliate! Thats a biggie.

BTW Arbonne is never tested on animals.....if u Google u can find the best prices!!
Reply:you should eat more vegetable and fruits because it helps nurture your skin naturally. last but not least, excercise regularly b/c it helps your blood flow ---%26gt; ur skin would look very healthy looking. give it a try, it's worthy
Reply:I use Origins "Have a nice day cream" with SPF. It's good in winter and also in the summer. It's my miracle cream. I also use Clinique's three step system. But if you don't want to spend a whole lot(though it's worth it) then you can use Vaseline Intensive Care lotions, Nivea, or Lubriderm. Clean and Clear makes a really good line of products for your face. It's good to keep a good eye on your diet, as a previous poster mentioned drinking your recommended amount of water. And enrich your diet with fruits and vegetables especially those rich in Vitamin E(the vitamin that gives your skin a healthy looking glow!) But the key to good skin is MOISTURIZE!!! Even if you have oily skin or in humid seasons, don't be fooled, our skin needs moisture. Good luck in your quest for healthy skin!
Reply:u can try faceshop pr0ducts..umm i tht u can try skinlitte masks frm sasa too..i tht u can try coenzyme masks..i used that for my sensitive skin..btw choose moisturizer that has the labels that have the label of non-comdegenic..umm u can use steffi, u can get frm guardian..but its abit oily soo dont put too thick..try to apply only at nite..u shld use pr0tect0r instead of sunscreen..umm beside i tht u shld go for facial..u can try sg website 88db,which has the highly recommended facial salon..facial can help to purify ur face deeply and clean..

Lipstick/Eyeshadow Colors for Asian (yellow-tinted) skin?

I find that most lipstick and eye shadow colors have a tendency to make me look a little cheap or young. Any color recommendations for Asian skin? I have somewhat yellow/orange tinted skin and most colors seem to clash on my skin color.

Lipstick/Eyeshadow Colors for Asian (yellow-tinted) skin?
Hi im chinese/vietnamese

well GOLDS ARE GORGEOUS !!

peach, bronze pinks, peach pinks, and I LOVE golden pinks! these really make your eyes pop! trust me on this. They look even better paired with a dark grey eyeliner such as stila smudge pots. Try any colour with a gold or peach undertone. Try a colour such as honey lust eyeshadow by mac. If you are more daring try out a golden orange shade.

Browns are very neutral and are also great for more natural looks... or even for dramatic looks try woodwinked by mac.

Honestly the colours you SHOULD AVOID are cool tone pinks with sliver shimmer over the whole eye lid, or most silvery blues. The best thing to do if your not sure on what you are doing is to avoid cool silvery shades.

They safest thing you can do is go to any cosmetic counter they should help you out. Go to a mac counter and let them show you your best colours they are truly friendly even if you dont buy anything. dont be shy!

for blush try a shimmery peach.... its Is too lovely on our skintone.

try a gold pinks for lip colours or go bold with frushia. Try the mattine mc colour in poise.avoid lipsticks with bluish undertones in dark reds and purples

good luck!

Reply:for sallow sking (yellowish hue), you want to avoid yellow based colors for your eyes. You might want to use a pink-based foundations.

the best colors for your eyes are cool colors- like blues, plums, pinks, .. anything on the right side of the color wheel.
Reply:okay, my friend had this problem, asians work best with pinks and nudes, but if you feel compelled to do a red, make sure its the kind that you paint on so that you can mix it with your foundation to give it a more yellow undertone
Reply:eyeshadow, i use the almay trio eyeshadow kit.

you probably have brown eyes, so get the purple trio.

and you can also get eyeliner too.

it works so GREAT on me, and makes my eyes look bigger. btw, i'm asian too =D
