Saggy Skin after losing weight?

Hello. I am 15 years old and I have been pretty much overweight my whole life. However, this summer I have decided to lose weight and now I work out regularly and eat healthier than I did before and I have even shed a few pounds already. I have stretch marks (They are very faint; you can hardly see them unless under certain lighting) on my stomach from rapidly gaining weight two or three years back. My question is, if I lost the weight would the skin start to sag on my stomach because of the stretch marks?

I've heard many different things like since I'm younger, my skin has better elasticity and that it can "recover' itself better.

If there's anything I can do or any helpful information, please tell me. I'd appreciate it. ;)

Saggy Skin after losing weight?
It does depend on how much extra weight there is and where you carry it on your body. I know young people that have lost 50, 60, 70, or even 80 pounds and still had their skin snap back to normal.

You'll still have stretch marks, but you're young and they'll fade. If you carry a lot of your weight in your stomach area and you have thinner legs/arms, you may have different results.

You're young and I guarantee no matter what the outcome, you'll still prefer a slight bit of saggy skin to being overweight.

good luck!
Reply:Because of your age the elasticity in your skin will allow you to loose the marks so don't worry. Good on you for taking control of your life, you deserve 10 points.
Reply:I don't really have an answer for you, but I can relate. I lost 80 lbs and have the saggy skin and stretch marks on my stomach. I found keeping my skin moisturized has helped with the stretch marks. I really like Nivea's Reshaping Treatment.

It is frustrating, but with all the health benefits that are gained from weight loss...saggy skin really the least of your concerns.

Great job on taking control!! Good luck!!

It's a tough road, but hang in there.
